Can you share your personal journey with wellness and mindfulness? How did you become interested in these practices, and what motivated you to incorporate them into your life?

My wellness journey began in high school when my mom introduced me to Yoga. Despite being on opposite sides of the globe, she has guided and walked alongside me throughout my journey, creating an invisible bond between us. Practicing yoga not only introduced me to wellness but also taught me mindfulness. It reminds me to be present in the moment, attentive to my actions, and emotions. Embracing wellness and mindfulness brings peace and contentment to my heart allowing my inner radiance to shine forth. It also shields me from the overwhelming stresses and burdens of the world.

In your experience, how have wellness and mindfulness positively impacted your overall wellbeing? Can you provide examples of specific benefits you have observed in your physical, mental, or emotional health?

Integrating wellness and mindfulness into my life has significantly enhanced my overall wellbeing and led me to embrace a more tranquil lifestyle. Starting the day with a short morning meditation energizes me and allows me to greet the day with a smile. Engaging in a bedtime meditation clears my mind and prepares me for a restorative sleep. When fatigue sets in, I find solace in quick stretch breaks or simply gazing at greenery outside my window. Additionally, I have discovered the power of aromatherapy, which I began learning during the Covid, as a means to regulate my emotions and foster positivity. These wellness and mindfulness routines are simple to adapt and have made a remarkable difference in my life.

Wellness and mindfulness practices can differ greatly from person to person. Could you describe some of the unique approaches or techniques you utilize to enhance your practices?

My approach to wellness and mindfulness revolves around being fully present and attuned to my body’s needs. It is crucial to give myself time for healing, both physically and spiritually. This doesn’t have to be lengthy, and should never be viewed as a waste of time. The rejuvenation it provides better equip me to face life’s challenges and problems.

How have your life experiences shaped your view on wellness? Did your community, culture, family or religion play a large role in this viewpoint?

Coming from a family of doctors, wellness has always been a top priority in my upbringing. I have fond memories of outdoor family adventures, which fostered my love for nature. Additionally, practicing a religion, which is common among people around me, including myself, has granted me a sense of security, knowing that there is a powerful force unwaveringly standing by my side and upon whom I can always trust.
